An attempt at using kennings, which are something between metaphor and code, and frature heavily in Norse mythology. One of those things that’s easy to do, but hard to do well.
A good excercise for kids.

A leaky bowl
A rivers’ meeting
Hill-surrounded nest
Culture-crucible
